A Review of Ted R. Weiland
and Mission to Israel Ministries

What does Ted Weiland teach at Mission to Israel Ministries?

By John Hurt

A few years ago, I was a follower of Ted Weiland’s ministry. I listened to his audio sermons, bought his books, and associated with others in his ministry.

Each year, I would take my family to his yearly “Tabernacles” conference in Illinois, where we would bring our tents and celebrate the “Feast of Tabernacles” by camping and eating together. It was a great experience.

I would see Ted Weiland at the yearly “Songs for His People” conference each spring near Branson, MO, and fellowship with the people in his and other related Christian ministries.

Ted Weiland teaches that the people of European descent are the various “tribes of Israel,” which is a belief I held at the time. What attracted me to Ted is that he does not preach anti-Semitism or racial hatred. He teaches that the “Gentiles” of European descent are really the “lost tribes of Israel.” If you want to know more, you can read Mr. Weiland’s book “Mystery of the Gentiles” on his website: https://missiontoisrael.org/. I found this concept of a “physical Israel resurrected in Christ to be in His Church” as a “key” to help explain many passages in the Bible.

Ted also teaches that God’s Laws in the Bible are superior to the US Constitution or any other government of men. He has a lot of resources on this subject at https://bibleversusconstitution.org/

When I associated with Ted Weiland’s group, the people who followed Ted at that time kept the 10 Commandments, including the Sabbath Day, with many keeping a Saturday Sabbath and others keeping a Sunday Sabbath. Ted’s group kept the dietary laws and would not eat pork, shellfish, or other unclean food, so you did not see any unclean food at his conferences. Many of us observed the yearly feasts of Passover, Pentecost, and other yearly feast days.
